Charting The Roller Coaster of Betting Odds This EPL Season

From the time, I have been watching EPL and the betting predictions linked to it. I never witnessed a see-saw season, as tale of this season is assumed even more precarious than the start. Chelsea, who started as defender of the title were having an odds of 11/8 to win the title, which after 15 games (sack of mourinho) went to 200/1. On the other side of fortune, Leicester were considered 5000/1 odds good to win their first title at the start, who now stands at the top of table and looking good to finish well.

As the tables gets a swing, so does the betting sites and predictions. Let’s surface the reign of classical turnaround, which has still so much for the fun appetite.

  • Jamie Vardy:

Jamie Vardy was just another player in the league, until he sent some stupendous EPL records out of the pitch by scoring in 11 consecutive games and looks good to bite the top scorer trophy this season. Started with an improbable bet of 500/1, the Leicester star has now 7/4 odds in his favor to clinch the award.

  • Chelsea:

They started as hot favorite and now they almost touched rock bottom; the relegation zone, before they finally found them somewhat back on track with a win over sunderland. Starting as hot favorite with a bet of odd of 11/8, now they have the probability of 1/100 to win the title.

  • Leicester

Marching on the shoulders of Jamie Vardy and Mahrez, they have a dream start this season and by finishing on top of season this christmas, they are now the strongest contender to win EPL 2015-16. A 5000/1 bet odds are changed to 10/1 and can be further improved, if the talismans can beat Manchester City to keep their apex position on song.

  • PFA Player of the Season

If I had asked this question at the season start, as who would be the PFA player of the season, Eden hazard and Diego Costa would have been no-brainer, and now not picking them as favorite is a no-brainer too. Leading in the race by odds of 9/4 is Mahrez of Leicester City, followed by his teammate Vardy (8/1) and Everton’s lethal, Romelo Lukaku (11/1).

Well, from the fans point of view, a mixed EPL table is good news as the four places are still completely open with both strong and mild contenders pushing up for the table. The january transfer window will also see some surprising moves. So, keep betting on your favorites for the pole pose.
